Live Stake Workshop Wednesday, April 29th at 1:00, Griffin Point Road

Join us to learn how live stakes can help reduce erosion and improve habitat and water quality. Live staking uses dormant cuttings from native trees and shrubs that root quickly and stabilize soil, a simple and affordable, effective restoration technique you can use at home for your shoreline buffer.

This event is in partnership with Kennebec Soil and Water Conservation District. We’ll meet at 1:00 at 26 Griffin Point Road. Jordan Kimball from Maine DEP will lead the workshop with a discussion to learn about live staking followed by hands on live staking, with harvesting and planting demonstrations adjacent to the water body.

Registration is limited, so sign up today to save your space by emailing us at togusponds@gmail.com.
